Very competent with a telehandler, used for feeding, bedding, general tidying up. Very basic tractor experience(muck cart towing) however would love to expand my experience with this and learn more.
Experience with a wide variety of sheep breeds (blackfaces, texels, blue Leicesters, cheviots, mules) and hill gathering. Dosing, jagging, lambing(mostly indoors have briefly done some outdoor lambing) general husbandry, identifying illness. The same with suckler cattle. Dosing, jagging, gathering, calving(outdoors). Very much open to turning my hand to the dairy side of things. Livestock work is where I am the most enthusiastic and thrive the most.

When Im not spending time outdoors hillwalking/camping in the wilderness, Im usually preparing for my next powerlifting competition. I am a national level powerlifter, which shows discipline, dedication, and willingness to push my limits.

I have spent the last 2 years on a 5000 acre hill farm on the Kintyre peninsula, where I have gained many skills and experience working with sheep, cattle, and general farm maintenance. I am from a non farming background and spent lots of time volunteering at various different farms back home in Aberdeenshire to gain hands on experience with livestock to get myself here. I am confident in all aspects of livestock work, gathering, feeding, bedding, identifying illness, dosing, jagging, I will turn my hand to anything and can never get enough of learning new things. I am competent with a telehandler and a quad bike(inc. weed wiping). I am looking for my next challenge to continue expanding my knowledge in the industry.
