- Married to a very supportive wife, Maria, who works as a lawyer in London (no children as of yet, but we plan to start a family as soon as we can) - We plan to base ourselves as a family from where I can secure a long-term, stable role, so family accommodation is highly desirable and preferred - Ideally, my wife would commute daily from where we live. However, if that's not realistic, she will spend a few nights a week in London, combined with working from the family home - We have a very well-behaved three-year-old working lab called Rory, who would be living with us. Ideally, Rory would accompany me to work and/or remain in the house/garden/yard. But if this is not possible, we will find a care solution.

I am open to roles in the East of England / East Anglia, the South East and the South West. I'm also open to discussing opportunities elsewhere if it's the ideal fit. While I can be flexible, I would like to secure a long-term opportunity to learn from an experienced dairy farmer/manager who is as invested in my development and growth as I will be in delivering a return on that investment. I am 31 years old, married to a very supportive wife, Maria, and we hope to start a family soon. Therefore, a role that can provide us with some stability and relative security, with the chance to put down roots, is a priority. I'm currently working on a 1600-acre arable farm in East Bergholt, Suffolk, which has given me a golden opportunity to refamiliarise myself with the basics of large-scale farming after over ten years out of the industry. This fresh experience includes operating large tractors and telehandlers efficiently, safely, and confidently in the yard and on public roads, with some exposure to fieldwork, general farm and machinery maintenance, and growing my understanding of the complexities of growing high-quality combinable crops, such as nutrient management, pest, disease and weed control. In the role, I've also been taking day-to-day ownership and oversight of the farm's mixed, beef suckler herd. This has included keeping on top of grass, minerals and salt intake, daily welfare checks and ongoing monitoring of around ten calves, seven cows due to calf, and an older Bull. I've been able to accurately identify potential issues, such as an eye infection in an older cow and an underfed Heifer calf. I've also been able to refamiliarise myself with the fundamentals of herd dynamics and care, such as ear tagging, fly control, spotting signs of illness and distress, and have taken two Belted Galloways for store, to market. This complements my existing experience, having spent my teen years working on a dairy, beef, and arable (for forage) farm in Melksham, Wiltshire, where I regularly milked up to 200 Holstein cattle and provided calf care.
