I am aged 20 almost 21 coming to end of my University degree at Writtle studying Livestock Technology. I have 5 years of experience working hands on with sheep and cattle, some pigs. All from moving and handling using a RAPPA system to lambing and general day to day needs.

Home Farm (unpaid work experience) (Started June 2021 present) Assistant Farm Hand
Duties include:
•Mucking out and feeding the pigs including other duties such as weaning
•Checking on the sheep fence lines, cleaning water troughs, filling hay, dagging and seasonal lambing duties
•Feeding the goat kids and checking the nannies and billy goats
•Helping feed the cattle that are in the yard
•Various other farm duties including collecting the eggs, sweeping the yard and barns
•Interacting with the public during visiting hours

•Hands on lambing duties including daily feeding, monitoring, bottle/tube feeding, ear tagging, castrating, turning out and birth assistance when required.
