Six years hands-on experience in large-scale arable farming, working part-time and seasonally since 2019. Initially employed as general labour, I progressed into core harvest operations with primary responsibility for grain and potato carting. Regularly operated John Deere tractors with trailers during peak harvest, transporting crops from field to store under strict time pressures. Work involved coordinating with combine operators, managing trailer turnaround efficiency, and maintaining steady yard workflow to prevent bottlenecks.

Licensed telescopic handler operator, responsible for loading grain stores, moving bulk produce, stacking pallets and assisting with lorry loading. Also hold a counterbalance forklift licence, used for yard logistics and loading/unloading high-value produce. Accustomed to long harvest weeks (70+ hours), weekend work, and adapting quickly to weather disruptions or machinery issues. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in busy yard and field environments.

Alongside this, I grew up working at Green Island Gardens, undertaking estate maintenance including strimming, hedge cutting, lawn mowing, machinery upkeep and general grounds work. This developed early practical skills, mechanical awareness, and comfort working outdoors in physically demanding conditions.
