Dairy Farm Worker, 08/2022 - 08/2024

Shropshire

- General Farm Worker on a 400 Norwegian X dairy farm.

- Milked daily in a 25/50 parlour with Auto ID, ClusterFlush, ACR's.

- Calf feeding and assisting all young stock.

- Bolusing cattle with heat detecting bolus.

- Followed all protocols and SOP's meeting targets.

- Worked closely with the Farm Manager ensuring all tasks were completed to standard.

- Daily use of trailered straw chopper.

- Relief feeding of all animals using a Shelbourne 22cube feeder wagon.

- Setting fence lines for strip grazing during the summer.

- Cow cubicles and water trough management during winter.

-Routine Drying off cows and treating mastitis with antibiotics.

- Use of JCB pivot steer and New Holland tractors up to 210Hp.

- Basic training in topping and heavy rolling.

350 High Yielding Holsteins, milked through a 20/40 ATL Parlour.

- Milked daily on a shift rota, with a high concentration on teat prep and cleanliness.

- Monitored cows for heat detection and signs of milk fever.

- Treatments for mastitis

- Use of JCB pivot steer and Case tractors.

- Daily bedding and scraping up
