Working with various livestock including cattle, horses, sheep and lambs, supporting

with feeding and mucking out. Helping move them between sheds or shed to fields.

Opening and closing gates to allow tractors in and out of sheds, unwrapping bales and

spreading new bedding. Recently I have supported during lambing time, bedding pens,

feeding, and watering pens and helping to ensure the health of the flock at this time.

Assisted with sheep having difficulties during birthing and spray, ring, and mark lambs

before and after they are moved to fields outside. I have also had responsibility for

looking after any orphaned or spare lambs or calves and feeding them when required.

Loaded and unloaded livestock trailers/ lorries. Counting livestock and filling in

paperwork such as moving documents and passports. Drawing/Sorting livestock into

there correct pens preparing for sale. Brought livestock in and out of the ring and

moved them into the buyers pen.

In the morning and afternoon I make milk for the calves,Topping up food and water, Bedding calves and putting sawdust down for the milking cows. I help put the milking cows into the milking parlour and clean up after the cows have all been milked. Check round the field on any cows that may have calved and feed them all too.

Dipped sheep and help out roll and bag wool.
