I have much experience maintaining and cropping pasture using harrows , rollers , toppers bailers mowers and tedders . I would like to gain more experience in the arable sector as I have only done this from my four years at agricultural college and have little real world experience but am willing to learn and pick things up fast . I have used 360 excavators both on farm and in construction and landscape settings ranging from 1 tonne to 13 tonnes machines . Whilst at college I got my Tele handler ticket and have continued to use them through out my working career

I completed my apprenticeship on a Sussex farm with 150 Sussex breeding cows and there followers . We calfed year round and rotated between two prize winnings bulls this was on 150 acres of clover rich pasture so monitoring and maintaing condition of the livestock was a constant task . It was here I got my first taste for sheep buying 30 speckled faced Bauer's of my own. I kept the flock for three years and produced lamb for local markets and butchers . Having to give the flock up when I emigrated to new Zealand to further my agricultural studies . It was here I was an agricultural intern . The station was vast in the thousands of acres so fencing was a constant task . The sheep where left out in the rugged mountain terrain for much of the year only brought into the kinder low land conditions at critical times such as lambing and shearing . Since then I have worked on a family farm with pigs poultry cattle and sheep small numbers of each but enough to appreciate there each individual and personal needs
