Duties included:

- Feeding beef cattle, store lambs, and in-lamb ewes.

- Moving and sorting lambs and sheep of varying age.

- Drenching, bolusing, and jabbing sheep.

- Identification of lame and/or unwell sheep.

- Handling ewes and lambs care prior, during, and after lambing.

- Tailing and castrating new lambs, as well as ear notching for later identification.

Duties included:

- Milking twice a day (most days) in a 22/44 herringbone parlour (Including every other weekend with shift changes too).

- Identification and treatment of mastitis in dairy cows.

- Regularly providing corn, water, and bedding for calves up to weaning.

- Identification of when lambing sheep and calving cows need intervention.

- Disbudding young calves and dehorning older heifers.

- Applying pour on wormer and fly repellent.

- Clipping cattle tails and clipping calves backs.

- Pressure washing.

- Identification of lame/ill dairy cattle and calves

- Assisting with TB testing cattle and MV testing sheep.

- Assisting with shearing sheep.

- Night milking twice a week (after my day milkings) in a 25/50 herringbone parlour.

- Checking the calving yard before and after milking.

- Moving freshly calved cows.

- Keeping 5 groups of cows separate and returning them to the correct sheds after milking.

• 2 Years at Reaseheath Agricultural College (2019-2022).

- Studied a Level 3 in Agriculture. Completed my 1st year with good grades and flew through my middle year placement. I dropped out in my 3rd year to continue working full time as I felt I was learning more in a working environment.

- Completed stocks week (a week on the college farm). During this I completed all tasks asked of me, including but not limited to: milking, scraping off beds, bedding up cow sheds and calving yards, moving cattle.
