Working with New Holland Tractors - one with front loader, one without. Carting sheep and cattle in livestock trailer using the tractors. Carting bales on loader. Also some experience with John Deere and Valtra tractors. Telehandler training completed with a Manitou 6290 at Ringlink in Laurencekirk.

Other livestock experience

Lambing at a small farm, assisting with injections, bottle feeding and twinning on etc. Identifying ewes down with twin lamb and drenching accordingly. Moving sheep and cattle, separating out stock staying and going. Identifying lame stock. Trimming sheep feet.

Farming background

March 2024 onwards - working for a small (500 acre, 150 head sheep, 100 head cattle) farm, working through lambing and onwards to general farm work, assisting with mucking out/moving cattle/moving sheep/some sheepdog work/rolling fields/fixing fencing. Responsible on days farmer is away for feeding/checking stock and dealing with any issues cropping up. Currently working part-time, most arable work is contracted out, keen to expand my hours and skill set.
