I have been in New Zealand since October 2023 sowing crops, mowing silage, raking silage, ploughing, umbilical system, tele-handler and loading shovel work. Growing up in Ireland I worked with different agricultural contractors. I have experience of mowing, raking and carting silage. I have also worked on an umbilical system during winter months. For the last seven years I worked on a 500 herd dairy farm carrying out diet feeder work, spreading fertiliser and slurry, agitating slurry, drawing cattle, loader work, topping, tedding, mowing, all the basic farm work as I was only staff member along with the boss. During quiet weeks of the farm, I worked with my bosses brother doing plant & hire jobs. I carried out tasks such as shuttering and digging out foundation for sheds.
I have many years of stock management skills. For the last seven years I worked on a dairy farm that consisted of a 50 bale Dairymaster rotary, milking 450-500 cows all year round. I was committed to the job as I was gaining more and more responsibilities throughout the years. Responsibilities included calving, dosing cattle, dehorning, injections, hoof health, breeding management, and general animal health checks.

2017-2023 I had a second in charge job position, dairy farming on a large scale dairy farm in Kerry, Ireland.
Summer months of 2021 I was with a silage contractor in Kerry, Ireland, while also still dairy farming.
Autumn of 2022 before calving season commenced, I got an opportunity to spend two months with a plant and hire company putting up sheds as a break from the dairy farm before the busy season.
