Hobbies

I am a keen rugby and football fan but generally most of my leisure time is connected in some way to my passion for livestock and machinery. I enjoy building fences knowing that my grazing management will be improved- I know that's not an exciting hobby for most people, but it suits me!

Farming background

2017-present. Self employed second hand farm machinery sales including repairs and maintenance. I have a small sheep flock on rented grazing that I intend to consolidate and grow.

2013-2017. Following agricultural college I was employed on a small family farm with several diversifications including secure storage and a farm workshop carrying out repairs on agricultural and garden machinery. On the farm we were rearing replacement dairy heifers after milk weaning to AI before they returned in-calf to their home farm.

In 2015 I went self employed as a general farm worker and was employed across two separate farming businesses rearing dairy cross calves under contract and a 250 Suffolk mule commercial lambing flock.
