Other livestock experience

I have not had much experience with livestock, but in my first farming job, the farm where i was based had a sheep enterprise of roughly about 400 ewes, these mostly consisted of Suffolk crosses. I assisted in many sheep duties & this included foot bathing, shearing, scanning the ewes for lambs & tagging, all sheep got rounded up out of the field & went through a sheep handling system. When required i also assisted with the lambing season & took part in lambing some sheep myself, also was tasked with mucking out pens, bedding up & preparing the feed using a mixer & delivering either in the yard or in the field, the feed was generally was a mixture of grains & pellets, but also hay was used as well. During a 1 year course at Bishop Burton College, i would generally help out on familys small holding which contained bed & breakfast pigs, i assisted with feeding up mainly by an automatic feeding system, but also with 25kg bags, bedding up with Straw & mucking out.

Started working on a small holding farm in 2016, which included ploughing/cultivations with new holland/case tractors, telehandler work, sheep husbandry. & general yard work. Then, I worked on a family farm within the Isle Of Axholme. Experience included driving Case Quadtrac/John Deere 9RX to Plow, Powerharrowing, Harrowing, Subsoiling & cultipressing, also drove a case optum/John Deere 6215rs to also powerharrow, mole ploughing and rolling. Grain Carting, verge mowing, Telehandler work and loading shovel work, Machinery Maintenance & general yard work. One Season I went on a pea harvest group for Birdseye as a trailer driver, around North Lincolnshire and East Riding of Yorkshire areas. From 2021-2023 i worked on a farm on the Yorkshire Wolds, which included grain carting, potato carting, cultivations driving a case optum/Pumas, Telehandler work including loading grain and general yard work. For Harvest 2023 and upto most recently, i went to a operate an allmet grain dryer alongside grain store operations on an estate located in the isle of Axholme, most still working on this same estate, i applied Granular Fertilizer onto all cereals using a modern an amazone fertilizer spreader with the spreader set at 36 meter tramlines, also Powerharrowing land for spring cereals, sugar beet & vining peas using mainly a 6m Kuhn Powerharrow on a John Deere 6R Tractor & telehandler work using Kramer forklift to assist the Vaderstad drill & amazone spreader, plus also carting sugar beet/potatoes and using a spearhead hedgecutter to mow dikes and cut hedges.
