Tractor Driving with John Deere/Case IH mainly wheel based tractors, Operations include Fertilizer Spreading, Grain Carting, Potato Carting, hedgecutting, Flail Mowing, Water Bowser, Cultivations & Ploughing. but also for some cultivations & heavy ploughing i operated a Case Quadtrac/John Deere 9RX aswell.

. GPS Operation of mainly RTK (John Deere Greenstar & Case AFS)

. Telehandler Work (JCB, Kramer, Claas & Manitou), operations include loading grain, pushing up grain in the stores & assisting the drill & fertilizer spreader.

. Cultivations include Powerharrowing, Harrowing, Topdown, Subsoiling, Rolling, Discing & Mole Ploughing

. Ploughing using mounted ploughs mainly using an 8 furrow Dowsdwell Plough

. Fertilizer Spreading using an modern amazone spreader set at 36 meter tramlines, applying onto all cereal crops, sugar beet & vining Peas

. Grain Drying using a 40 tone/per hour modern allmet grain dryer with an integrated control panel & also opearting a store conveyor system

I have not had much experience with livestock, but in my first farming job, the farm where i was based had a sheep enterprise of roughly about 400 ewes, these mostly consisted of Suffolk crosses. I assisted in many sheep duties & this included foot bathing, shearing, scanning the ewes for lambs & tagging, all sheep got rounded up out of the field & went through a sheep handling system. When required i also assisted with the lambing season & took part in lambing some sheep myself, also was tasked with mucking out pens, bedding up & preparing the feed using a mixer & delivering either in the yard or in the field, the feed was generally was a mixture of grains & pellets, but also hay was used as well. During a 1 year course at Bishop Burton College, i would generally help out on familys small holding which contained bed & breakfast pigs, i assisted with feeding up mainly by an automatic feeding system, but also with 25kg bags, bedding up with Straw & mucking out.
