Summary

21 year old who has a huge passion for farming, I have been lucky enough to have done it all my life from being brought up in a farming family. This has given me a variety of skills with working in a team, leadership skills, communication skills and hard working but always willing to learn and take in new skills.

Have worked for a mixed farm of 1000 breeding ewes lambing indoors with 40 head of pedigree Sussex cattle as well as 300 acres of arable. I had been at the place of work for 5 years starting of as just a helping hand to quickly becoming a member of staff and working every spare hour to then become full time . The job consists of the day to day running of the farm this includes checking livestock, worming, fly dressing, shearing, lambing, calving, foot trimming and moving livestock about, I also have experience in stock fencing and electrical fencing. I have experience driving different types of machinery and have had loads of experience driving doing general machinery operations. I have a bit of experience in teaching groups of vet students and educating the public about the country side and farming.

Have worked on a large scale outdoor pig farm. Doing general checks on pigs, farrowing pigs and vaccinating piglets, feeding with feeder wagon and general day to day tasks of fencing.

I have also worked on my family farm with rare breed sheep lambing outside specialising in conservation and ground management.aswell as ground management Ive had experience in helping with the process of planting of trees and some expects of woodland management. With grazzing rare breed in and around rough woodland and grassland.Along side finding niches in the market to sell produces.

Done work for a fencing company as well as general construction. I have also worked on a vineyard with show sheep and tractor work on the vines and orchards.
