Having always worked outdoors mainly in horticulture I was drawn towards farming. This then turned into wanting to peruse a career in farming and further led me into dairy farming.
After finding dairy farming I never looked back. I fully love how challenging and also rewarding it can be and always learning along the way.
I worked on a 300+ mixed breed dairy farm along with 2 other staff where my main duties were milking, calf rearing, grass management and some tractor work.
I then worked on a 2000+ animal farm with over 1200 milking cattle in Scotland.
I thoroughly enjoy the calf rearing aspect and have worked in a spring calf system and also all year round calving.
I am looking for a job where I can constantly improve my skills and keep on learning.
