I'm hard working, reliable and efficient, I can work as part of a team and responsible to work on my own. I was recently in New Zealand working on a sizeable farm incorporating arable, beef and sheep. I had previously been in Canada supervising 6 other employees involving crop and animal management.

I have vast experience in various machines, telehandlers, agricultural trailers, diggers, toppers, mowers, rollers, dung spreaders, chainsaws. These would have been of various makes and models, John Deere, Ford, JCB. I can still use the old fashioned method of a post driver, sledge hammers, axe and a saw.

Other livestock experience

Grew up on large family farm dealing with beef and sheep, calving and lambing and have worked for ****dealing with pigs. General animal husbandry and workings of the farm. I can de- horn, neuter, dip, shear, inject, hoof care - pairing, treating. Breeding and production care. We as a family have approx 400 head of beef cattle and 150 of sheep now. In New Zealand, there was approximately 1000 breeding ewes and 300 cattle. The farm itself was 548 acres but he also took more ground for other aspects of farming. In Canada I dealt with at that time the arable side of things, the farm was in Saskatoon.

I am 6ft, medium build and physically strong. I enjoy martial arts for keeping myself fit and mobile in any spare time I have.

Relevant health problems

I am missing 2 of my fingers and half my palm on my left hand that I lost with a chainsaw at home on the farm a number of years ago. I can still use this hand.

Farming background

Having worked on a large mixed farm all my life. I have also worked at sheep and ariable farming in New Zealand. I am capable to completing various tasks within the farm including paperwork, house keeping and animal husbandry

I am ex British Army also and returned to the family farm, but due to my brothers also working the farm, I continued in the security industry working in government and police sites. This included paperwork, contactor clearance, site patrols and dog work.

I have now returned to farming, now within the pig industry, working for Farm Relief carrying out various swine experiments and tests. This also involves accuracy and detail.
