Farming background

Since 13 worked on farms on a part time/ short term contract basic, in local area and also more recently further afield, starting off pressure washing, soon leading on to assisting in general farm work. After a few years this lead into working in the dairy parlour where I learned a lot about running a dairy parlour and identifying problems with the cows while in parlour and how to treat them, then later working as a relief dairyman. Milked 360 cows twice a day in a 25/25 herringbone parlour in 3/3.5 hours while maintaining good result in baca scans ect. In recent years I have worked away on a 3 month contract assisting in a calving season on a beef only farm doing outdoor work, feeding/checking stock, small bit of field work and general farm work and again short term contract on a dairy farm in Guernsey and most recently 5 months on a organic fruit and veg farm in Wiltshire.
