A big part of the role is to build sales in an area that the company previously done very well in with the JCB franchise until it was lost in 2017, since that point sales coverage has never been dedicated to this area. I was employed to attempt to build the sales side of the business. The role however diversified more into handling parts enquiries from customers and assisting with the companies move to new premises and the taking on of service and parts back up for Scanstone. Unfortunately due to his personal circumstances and customers owing a lot of money to the company I was made redundant and it wasdecided to cut costs by concentrating more on the engineering side again.

Delivering training on farms for the full range of NPTC pesticide qualifications. Between 2016 & 2021 also training in general machinery operation including ploughing and forestry equipment. During that period I was also an AITT accredited forklift instructor. Farm machinery operation also carried out between 2014 & 2017 as required including spraying with an Amazone Pantera machine.

HEAD TRACTOR DRIVER/FOREMAN

Carrying out all main machinery operations on a 950 acre arable, potato and beef farm. Responsible for both the potato planting and harvesting teams with myself playing a key role in both as destoner and harvester operator. Workshop repairs were also my responsibility if these could be carried out in house. Case & John Deere tractors were used by the company at this time.

Carrying out approx. 1800 acres of ploughing a year, fertiliser spreading, drilling around 6-700 acres of sugar beet annually, relief grain drilling, rolling, hedge cutting and general arable farm duties. Operating the businesses Claas Lexion 460 combine across three farms totaling 3600 acres. Made redundant due to change of business ownership.
