Currently working on a 100-acre organic farm with a herd of 20 Devon Ruby Reds; have helped with feeding, ear tagging, TB testing, calving, herding, movements, paperwork, breeding and selling at auction. Also a small flock of Poll Dorset and Suffolk sheep; have helped with feeding, foot trimming, ear tagging, shearing, movements and paperwork. Previously I mostly had smallholding type experience of a variety of livestock: meat chickens, laying chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, rabbits, ducks, pigs, alpacas, dairy and meat goats, and working horses. I have experience in lambing, incubating and rearing poultry, milking goats, shearing sheep, and day-to-day care such as feeding, cleaning and health monitoring. I have significant experience of rearing and caring for game birds through the whole process of egg collecting, incubating, hatching, rearing and releasing, including cleaning, feeding, medicating and monitoring the birds. On one game farm I worked with up to 15,000 duck, 25,000 partridge and 75,000 pheasants.
