2008- present: working on sheep farm with approx 100 lambing each year, scanning usually around 2 lambs/ewe resulting in 1.8-1.9 lambs/ewe out at grass (fattened on grass with concentrates introduced late on if needed) 2014-2018: Studied Sustainable agriculture in Dundalk Institute of Technology, 2 placement opportunities; Feb-Apr 2016 - 1000+ acre farm. Heavily involved with pigs, sheep and cattle. All aspects covered such as lambing (outdoors) ewe/lamb health etc, calving cows, diet feeding cattle, vaccinating/ dosing etc, Pig farrowing, vaccinating, weaning, record keeping etc May-Aug 2017 Trained in all parts of factory most experience gained in packaging department, assembling + scanning orders destined for export March 2019 - Night lambing job for 500 ewes in Northern Ireland. 350 lowland ewes and 150 horny ewes. All aspects of lambing covered from lambing the ewe to turning out to grass.
