I have lived on the family farm all my life. Left school at 16 and have been working on the same 500 acre arable farm since then, but am looking to gain some more experience, I currently am the only worker on the farm so I do all the ploughing, cultivations/rolling. Neighbour does the sowing/spraying and I am keen to work somewhere I may be able to gain this experience. I do all the telehandler work on the farm e.g. Loading grain lorries, unloading fertiliser lorries etc. Also do contract mowing/bailing silage and hay in the summer. At Harvest time I have previously been on a trailer and bailing the straw, but have driven the combine this year so have a little experience on it but not too much, again keen to learn more. I drive the 360 digger through the winter cleaning ditches etc and hedgecut the farm also. Also contracted out to potato farm so have been involved in potato,swede and carrot harvest/planting.
