Other equipment experience

Vast experience in the forage sector, from grass silage right through to maize silage for livestock farms as well as AD plants.Personally responsible for the cultivations and Fertilising on the home farm, as well as undergoing relief spraying and drilling. Able to perform with any task placed upon me.

Other livestock experience

On hand with helping through calving and lambing. Responsible for feeding/strawif all of the stock during the autumn/winter/spring months. As well as a shared feeding rota during weekends throughout the stock being inside.

Just coming to the end of my stint as Brentwood YF Chairman, as well as being Site manager, Health and Safety, and water representative at the 2017 YFC show.

Hobbies

Essex Young Farmers - on the show committee and county exec committee as NFU Correspondant. Also on the Eastern Area Young Farmers Committee. Other then Young Farmers, just socialising in general with many trips to the pub. I never get chance to play, but I do also enjoy watching rugby and tennis. Following the Saracens as well as the Lions in Rugby.

Relevant health problems

Currently under investigation for a spleenic cyst. Nothing major.

Farming background

The family farm has 2000 acres of owned and rented land, mostly grass and energy crops for out 500KW AD plant, but a large amount of combinable crops too. Also housing 300 suckler/store cattle, 100 head of breeding Suffolk ewes, and 3,500 acres of contracting. Ranging from forage harvesting, to ploughing, to precision drilling, hedge cutting, hay & straw baling etc.
