CV Headline

Dear Sir/Madam I graduated from the University of Nottingham with an upper second class honours degree in Animal Science in July 2016. Since graduating I have undertaken a mixture of jobs within the agricultural sector before settling on a career path that stems from my familial roots. I am passionate about working outdoors in a countryside setting producing high quality and high welfare animals in a sustainable manner and have dedicated the past few years to improving my knowledge and abilities within farming. After working as a stockman/butcher/market retailer on a traditional beef and sheep farm producing on a farm to fork basis I established that I was willing to do whatever it took to further my career within agriculture. To this end I undertook a Graduate Diploma in Agriculture at the Royal Agricultural University which I completed in June 2019. Whilst at the university I took an active role on the university farm, specifically within their calf rearing and sheep enterprises but also seizing any opportunities to learn that came available such as spring drilling. I am currently improving my arable knowledge and abilities by working a harvest on a busy arable farm. I am now looking to take the skills I have gained and apply them to the livestock industry.   In the positions I have worked, whether voluntary or paid, I have demonstrated a strong work ethic, an ability to work within and lead a team and a drive to pursue the highest possible standard in any task I am set, with a desire to continue learning in order achieve this.   Thank you for your consideration. Should you wish to contact me, please see my CV for further details. I look forward to hearing from you.   Yours Sincerely   Sam
