July 2013 – January 2014: Barkisland (dairy). I am currently studying Agriculture at Askham Bryan College, York. I started the course in September 2013. As part of my course, I was required to complete 150 hours of work experience. I worked at a Farm once a week, working 12 hour shifts. My duties included milking, feeding calves, bedding down, mucking out, and general farm husbandry tasks. January 2014 to present day: (sheep). I currently work on a sheep farm near to where I live. I work weekends and during the holidays, I work most days. My job involves general farm work and husbandry tasks involving the sheep and lambing. I also carry out tree maintenance in the woodland which belongs to the farm. Whenever I am not at work, I assist a friend of mine with his farm in Southowram which farms sheep and cattle.
