The Farm, on the Isle of Mull in the Hebrides off the West coast of Scotland, has a fold of Pedigree Highland cattle due to start calving in February.



The work is focussed on the welfare of the animals, checking and feeding them on a daily basis. It is a great opportunity to work with a highly experienced stockman.



The Estate covers almost 4000 acres and the ground runs from sea level up to 2000 ft. Much of it is hill ground and there is little inbye land.



The fold includes over 30 cows and followers and includes a pedigree bull. The farm has the equipment needed which includes tractor, trailers, muck spreader, post driver and quad bike. The animals are all checked daily and the fences and equipment all require regular maintenance. The fold has elite health status and the animals are in peak condition. There is a local vet to help us.



The estate is run by a manager who lives in the farm Steadings. The job will be hard work doing whatever is required at one of the Estate's busiest times of the year.
