Level 4 diploma in farm management, 11 GCSEs A-Cs

9 years experience operating of various tractors including loader tractors upto 400hp including experience driving a Fendt 943mt crawler. 2 seasons operating a Claas 640 Lexion combine. 1 season in New Zealand ploughing/ baling/ loader tractor work. Moving tracked machinery with tractor and low loader. A range of work involving mounted machinery including mowing, topping, hedge cutting. Vast experience operating a range of forklifts/bobcats and quad bikes. Drilling experience with a 12 metre Einbock establishing new grass leys.

1 year relief milking on 220 cow dairy unit at Moulton college whilst studying. Responsibilities included morning milking, calving and drying off. 1 year on a 100 cow suckler herd and 300 head outdoor lambing flock. Responsibilities included general animal husbandry, calving, lambing, vaccinations, vet/med treatments, tagging, weighing and drafting lambs and grassland management. 1 year assistant herdsman 550 cow dairy unit Daventry running a NZ style system. Responsibilities included milking, calving, drying off, AI, heat detection, general animal husbandry, grassland management and electric fencing. 2 years on a 500 cow organic dairy unit as farm foreman. Responsibilities included young stock management, feeding of milking herd, dry cows etc. calving and night check, grassland and water management. 1 year self employed work covering 4 farms, a 2,500 head beef unit, a 50 cow suckler herd, a 110 cow suckler herd/ 300 sheep and a 150 cow suckler herd / 1000 sheep. Responsibilities included general animal husbandry, vaccinations, vet/med treatments, calf rearing, lambing and fencing. 2 years as young stock manager on a 350 cow organic dairy unit and arable operations manager on 600 acres. Work includes all calf rearing and young stock work, grassland management and fencing.
