Farm hand on family farm in Cave, New Zealand. Farm is 2500acres of sheep and beef property. Roughly 3000 sheep 500 cattle. Sheep are mainly Perendale breeding ewes although we have around 500 Pedigree Stud breeding ewes of Suffolk, South Suffolk and Charollais breeds. We also keep 200 ram hoggets each year of these 3 breeds that we bring through for sale as hoggets. 90 of which go up for auction at our annual on farm ram sale. The rest are sold through private sales. We also raise 120 friesian bull calf’s each year that we keep until R2 age. As well as that we have 200 Angus breeding cows. Farm hand on outdoor free-range pig farm in Cave, New Zealand.

I participate in Stock Judging competitions. In 2016 I competed in the National Young Farmer of the year Junior Stock Judging competition where I placed first in the sheep section and 2nd overall. Last year (2018) I competed in the National sheep stock judging at the Canterbury Agricultural Show where I placed 5th overall. I have also junior judged twice at the Canterbury Agricultural Show, once in 2017 in the Suffolk Sheep section and once in 2018 in the South Suffolk Sheep section. I also own flock of 30 Pedigree Stud sheep with my families flock called Waterton. I purchased my first 20 ewes in 2016 and since then I have sold multiple rams including 2 registered ram hoggets to other Studs in New Zealand.

Farming background

Lived and worked on my families large sheep and beef farm in the South Island hill country, New Zealand. Involved with all aspects of the farm. Especially with the 3 flocks of Pedigree Stud sheep ( Suffolk, South Suffolk And Charollais). I have also worked on a outdoor free-range pig farm with 400 sows. Also I was head shepherd of the night shift at the Silver Fern Farms freezing works, where I was responsible for counting, penning and moving the 10,000 lambs up the chain ready for slaughter. I have also been a lab technician at NZ Seed Lab in Christchurch, New Zealand.


Horse riding- Mainly on my families farm. I also do stock work on my horse. Rugby- Both playing and watching. I have been playing rugby for 6 years.
