Farming background

I’ve been interested in farming from a very young age as my dad is a farm manger in Shropshire and I aspire to follow in his footsteps. After completing a GNVQ level 2 in mixed farming where I worked on two mixed farms then I went in to work in two arable farms in Shropshire. I am currently working for an agricultural contractor doing a range of jobs which include; muck spreading, slurry and digesate applications, silaging, cultivating and driving a 435s loading shovel as well welding and fabricating to maintain my own and my colleagues machinary. At present my main role is to liaise with farmers so I can coordinate my colleagues So that we can complete all jobs to the highest possible standard. As well as working on farms I spent a short time working with my family tree felling and tree surgery where I completed cs30,31,38 and 39 chainsaw and tree climbing certificates

I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family. How ever I enjoy clay pigeon shooting and fishing as well as game shooting during the winter
