Grass maintenance fertilizer spreading, grass rolling, topping and chain harrowing. Harvest straw and grass, forage clapping, silo covering, grass mowing and hay turning. Summer grazing land management / paddock rotation and fencing. Primary duties operating case puma carting grain and straw bales, Spreading pig slurry with a new Holland t6070 also drawing silage bales for customers. Experience with John Deere 6150R carting topsoil from site with 14 ton dump trailer. Also general Estate work - land topping and mowing and general tidying up, filling pot holes and repairing lane ways.

Farming background

Current - Grass & rape crops; duties include all cattle work , grass management and reseeding. New Holland tractors. Crop maintenance fertilizer and slurry spreading, grass rolling and topping , chain harrowing and spraying. Harvest corn, straw, grass and maize carting, forage clapping, grass mowing and hedge cutting. Summer grazing land management / paddock rotation and fencing.Relief milking / dairy hygiene, herd health. Block calving.  Local beef farm where contractor and arable work is also carried out mowing raking baling wrapping and carting. Reseed work – ploughing cultivating and rolling in seed. Carting in straw - agricultural contractor – mowing raking baling wrapping stacking and carting of silage. Carting and spreading pig slurry. Also dump tractor work carried out.  This is an outfarm we rent for sheep. We also cut most of our silage here and grow a crop of rape for feeding the sheep and lambs over the winter. Most of the work on this farm is grass based and is topping or mowing to keep paddocks with fresh grass for the sheep. We also undertake a lot of fencing work on this farm for the owner over the winter time.  Dairy Farm: Relief milking 400 cows sat and Sunday evening. Shields beef finishing farm: experienced gain using botcat shovel and john deere 6820 with a diet feeder to feed over 2,000 cattle daily over the winter period also the mixing of breads and other cereals to the feeder aswell as mixing straw silage and maize.
