2015-2016 started an agricultural engineering apprenticeship however fond being stuck in a workshop all day was not for me so quickly decided to pursue a more outdoors role.
2016-2019 managed to attain an apprenticeship on a local pig farm completed my apprenticeship after a year and a half and then continued to work as a valuable member of the farrowing team for a further year and a half until a new opportunity came up.
April 2019-november 2019 in this time I worked for a arable farm on the potato team for the season where I gained a lot of tractor driving experience destoning, irrigating and carting potatoes and cereals.
November 2019-present I became self employed and have worked mainly as a tractor driver for different farms through busy periods over harvest (cereal, potatoes and sugar beet) destoning, irrigation, primary cultivations, and have recently been driving a sugar beet maus loading lorries for a haulage company. During this period it allowed me to start to get involved in my lifelong goal and passion of working with sheep and cattle. which started as doing a couple of weeks volunteering to help with lambing to helping with shearing and gradually getting more and more involved helping with routine tasks.
