Tractors over 200hp, mostly New Holland. 14 tonne silage trailers, 2500 gallon tankers, pivot steer and rigid telehandlers, skidsteers, both Keenan and tub style mixer wagons. Workshop experience including basic maintenance, welding and minor mechanical repairs.

3 years working with large dairy herds, 300 and 180 cows, milking both through a parlour and with robotic milkers. Having generally stuck the livestock work rather than machinery, I have lots of experience calving cows, rearing calves, foot trimming, medicine administration and general husbandry.

Farming background

3 years as a dairy herdsman. Experience working with hill sheep (gathering, fank work etc). Plenty of experience with tractors and machinery including feeding, slurry spreading and trailer work. I have two working collies, one fully trained and one part trained as I am now looking to move away from dairy and back into sheep. I have also previously worked as a pony man on a large highland estate during the stag season.
