Farming background

Large scale beef operations in Scotland and Australia, home farm usually consisting of 1000+ breeding ewes, fabrication, fencing, machine operating and managing small teams. I work at a level where I am often left to self-supervise as I can be trusted to work hard and make good decisions on my own. I am happy to make judgement calls or step in when other stockmen are unavailable, and am equally happy keeping my head down and getting on with the job in hand. Further to farming, I have an interest and some experience in the hospitality and food sector. I have worked as a chef and waiter and have a genuine interest in all parts of the beef supply chain.

Keen sportsperson and Horseman. I enjoy rugby, polo, running and cycling. I love to cook with friends and family as well as eating out and socialising. Surrouding myself with natural and rural landscapes and scenery is something I always look for in work, such as those found on country estates, coastline and the national parks of the UK.
