Herdsman for 4+ years at pedigree Holstein of 200 cows- relief milking, calving cows - after care (tagging, dehorning, identifying mastitis etc.) This also included grassland maintenance. Stockman for 5+ years solely responsible for 80 store cattle on arable estate, 300 tack sheep on grazing water meadows- this involved general animal husbandry, grazing management and identifying illnesses and other concerns. Also managed various flocks during shepherds holidays/illnesses, night lambing over 2000 ewes, identifying and treating sick sheep.

Farming backgroundRaised on a livestock farm in Cornwall with a suckler herd of 180 limousines X and 120 mule X breeding ewes. 2017- to date managed an organic arable and sheep farm in Berkshire of 300 acres - 250 breeding ewes and 40 riding school horses. Managing paperwork as well as a team of 3/4 staff. 2014-2017 - worked with a contract shepherd helping run his own business with 5000 breeding ewes all year round and up to 15,000 sheep (mainly hill sheep) through the winter months on arable crops. 2014 - worked for The Royal Agricultural College farm looking after their 500 breeding ewes and lambs. As well as there beef store cattle. This included data recording for the colleges research. I've also worked for various different farmers during lambing season in many areas, with different breeds of sheep.
HobbiesI train sheepdogs as a hobby, I also have 2 horses which i like to use when moving sheep and cattle as well as taking them to country shows.
