Farming background April 2013 – Present  Part time work on the family farm in-between studies and other work to cover for staff and support the business during busy periods. Worked to an extremely high standard to ensure that Wyke Farms maintains a positive reputation. Worked on all aspects of the dairy farm including slurry tanking, ploughing, cultivations and supporting with the herd management including milking, TB testing, feeding and bedding.  September 2018 – December 2018 Harvest position on a 900-acre farm growing cash crops consisting off milling wheat, combinable maize, soya beans and sugar beet. Work consisted of machinery maintenance and servicing, as well as machinery operation. Operations included deep cultivation work carried out on Case Stieger articulated tractor, seed carting, sugar beet topping, operating a chaser bin from combine to lorry and relief combine driving. During this period extensive experience was gained through an introduction to row cropping and the challenges faced by farming in a different climate. As such, narrow climate windows meant working efficiently was of paramount importance to ensure targets were met and the crop was harvested to meet quality requirements
