Monitor the health of all stock on the property, take note of any behavioural changes, and treat minor injuries or illnesses as they occur. Administer vaccinations and other injections. Assist with calving as required. Maintain comprehensive health and production records, working closely with the farmer. Operating a ATL metered milking machine housed within a 16/16 Herringbone parlour and other equipment, trouble shooting any mechanical problems. Carrying out daily milking, keeping milking parlour clean and in line with standards set out the dairy regulations.  General Farm worker Nov 2012-Dec 2014. Key Responsibilities: Daily milking in a 6 abreast milking parlour Stock management including rearing and feeding of young stock General maintenance and upkeep of farm drainage systems Maintaining all fencing and repairing when needed Ensuring that all stone walls are maintained and repaired to prevent eradication of stone walls Management of slurry levels and distribution to ensure that acceptable holding levels are not exceeded Trailer carting during each cut of silage Field maintenance including rolling and fertilising  Contractor Aug 2011 – Nov 2012.
