Farming background

 2015-Present.  The farm is a 303 Hectares arable farm, rented from an Estate. Days range from working independently or closely with the tenant farmer and on occasion contracted work on other farms in the area. Responsibilities include: Preparing and operating machinery for soil cultivations Preparing grain storage and operating a 12 tonne batch dryer Servicing, maintaining, lubricating and carrying out daily checks on machinery Combining crops ranging from oilseed rape, wheat & canary seed Meeting with the Agronomist for spraying related duties Recording and updating logs with relevant spraying recommendations Carrying out regular stock takes for chemicals Responsible for the general upkeep and tidiness of the yard & workshop Undertaking seasonal hedge-cutting around the farmland & neighbouring estate General gardening duties including pest control on the gardens Upkeep of Entry & Higher Level Stewardship Schemes Ensuring security requirements are upheld

Clay pigeon shooting, target practice, flying my drone, outdoor pursuits.
