4 weeks experience on two large scale dairy units, milking 1100 and 1400 respectively. Experience milking on a 60-berth rotary parlour, performing vet checks, fresh checks, PD scanning, calving, administering medication and moving cows. Have worked with calves and proficient in neonatal care. 2 weeks indoor pig unit with 755 sows, 1500 piglets, 3300 grower pigs, 190 maiden gilts. Worked mainly in farrowing houses, assisting farrowings, care of piglets and routine clipping and injections. I have worked 3 lambing seasons on a mix of indoor and outdoor systems, experienced in all aspects of lambing, working both day and night shifts and having sole charge of 100 ewes. Worked a round of over 1500 sheep outdoors, seeing complex presentations and complications including evisceration through a vaginal tear and performing an emergency caesarean. Proficient in skinning for adoption. Also have extensive equine experience being a rider myself, and have worked at a full livery yard and riding school as a groom, exercising horses for clients.
