Gfw on mixed rare breed farm mainly focused on dairy goats worked weekends and holidays for 6/7 years before also working on a moderate sized mixed farm, I then left the rare breed farm where I undertook all stock duty's to work on a 400 head dairy farm relief milking weekends and nights and bedding cubicle and scraping out. After several months I left the dairy farm to concentrate full time on the mixed farm where we currently run 100 dairy cows, 50 self bred and reared suckler cows, 350 white faced commercial sheep and 250 pedigree texels. I also worked on a similar sized mixed farm with 300 pedigree Holstein cows, 30 BB cows and 600 grey faced mules but have recently returned to my previous employer. My main duty's are feeding cows a TMR using a feeder wagon, feeding store cattle and calves and any building/machinery maintenance. I'm trusted an left in charge of calves, store cattle, fattening cattle and calving cattle also night lambing.

Farming background

Started on farms 11 years ago, worked on a rare breed and goat milking farm, then moved to a large 400 cow dairy farm and a reasonable mixed stock farm, leaving to join a team on a similar setup with most work done in house before returning to previous employer. Competent tractor operator with experience of PTO driven and non PTO driven machinery, old and new tractors and equipment.
