18 months experience with Dairy/Beef/Sheep in New Zealand. Two seasons experience rearing 850 replacement calves and 350 bobbys. I saw new born calves through to R1 and R2s (150kg). I was responsible for feeding calves, identifying and treating sick calves, weaning, weighing, castrating, vaccinating, drenching and drafting. Experience de-budding calves in the UK. Confident in identifying lame cows and detecting/treating mastitis. Experience in tailing lambs where I was responsible for vaccinations and loading. Six months experience mustering and processing beef cattle in Western Australia. I went on a Low Stress Stock Handling course to learn best practice in the yards.

Swapped city life and a career in Advertising for farming and have never looked back! 18 months farming experience on a mixed enterprise farm in New Zealand. Two seasons as Head Calf Rearer, rearing over 850 calves. One year as Dairy Assistant. Often helped with Sheep and Beef. Six months working with outback beef cattle in Western Australia. A love of animals and the great outdoors.
