Other Information

After 15 years of running my own business in the engineering industry I'm looking for a new challenge in agriculture. I would like to continue to manufacture some parts for select customers, so would also be looking for a small amount of workshop space which might tie in nicely with a position at a farm that is open to an element of diversification!

Farming background

Grew up on a farm, a few harvest seasons on bigger farms when younger. Left school at 16, Maths a level at home in a year, worked at an accountancy firm for 3 months then started engineering business 15 years ago and developed it to a good size. Started a precision engineering business as an offshoot from it manufacturing many different parts, e.g. Racing motorcycle parts, car suspension parts, optics / rifle scope bodies. Built an engineering business so I know what it means to deliver on promises and never let anyone down. Long hours, early starts and late finishes when required are never an issue. Happy to lead a team of people and get the best out of them.
