Name; George. I have worked the past 5years since leaving college doing a mixture of dairy both milking and tractor operations. As well as having my own sheep. I have milked herds from 240 - 1000. I have experience in using all brands of tractor and telehandler. Doing most arable operations having done a harvest season as well as some other season all jobs for silage.

Done harvest last yeah on 8000acre farm in Kent. Included, corn cart, dryer operations, cultivation’s, silaging, bale carting, muck spreading, slurry tanking, mowing. Have got a city and guilds mo1 and mo2. And city and guilds all terrain lift truck (telehandler) certificate

Started as assistant herds person for a 240 herd plus followers, doing all jobs, milking, feeding tmr, calf rearing, heifer rearing, calving cows, have done almost everything dairy. Had my own flock of 500 sheep plus fattening lambs and following to enter the flock, was my own business for 3 years on a 650 acre farm in Kent. Have worked on a pig farm doing all things pig from husbandry to creating sperm, scanning, inseminating, etc with 1100 at quiet times at 1500 sows and piglets when the farm is full.

Farming background

Have been farming since forever, started on family farms and worked for other farms once I left college, started as assistant herds person when leaving college and worked through the dairy industry to being herdsman. Then did my own sheep whilst doing a rotation of relief milking and driving a tractor in harvest and silaging seasons. Have been a manager of a pig farm ranging from 1100-1500 sows plus piglets.
