Farming background

Been around grandparents mixed dairy, arable farm since very young now on higher responsibility tasks. Summer on large arable farm. Studying at the RAU currently.

December-1998 - Current I have been around the family farm since birth. Taking up small tasks from a young age and taking every opportunity given to me throughout that time to gain experience and improve my skills within the industry. Starting from yard work including fencing and other general farm work to telehandler and tractor skills including carting grain, bales and forage to manure spreading (slurry and solid) and groundwork including discing, ploughing and rolling. In this role I have learned many life lessons from how to graft long hours to a good work ethic and how to be calm and composed in very stressful situations and how to adapt to difficult times and working as part of a small team to achieve a goal.
