I have used many different tractors from a Ford 7840 to a brand new Fast Trac 4220. I have used different types of implements including; topper, rollers, sprayer and fertiliser. I have used a JCB telehander plus I have used a rappa trailer.I have also received my safety in vet medicine course. Currently working towards my trailer license.
I have 10 years experience with sheep and have completed many different lambing experiences. Lambing in wales (2 weeks)- I was working with the family and a friend from college, I always put the welfare of the animal first. My hours were 8am- 8:30pm, one of the days I work 19.5 hours as jobs needed doing and I could not leave an ewe lambing otherwise welfare would have been at stake. Lambing again for Sheep Farmer of the Year finalist 2016 which was the same year I completed work experience (2/3 weeks). Here I learnt vital skills in sheep husbandry and how to see health issues in a sustainable way. I believe we had the lowest lamb mortality they had ever had in this year. It was an outdoor lambing so I worked with the poor ewes in the shed which was a great way to build knowledge and skills. 3 seasons of lambing on my own growing flock and, I have lambed at college for 4 seasons at college I am very trusted with my knowledge within livestock and I’m a great problem solver and very good at staying calm and collective whilst getting the job done. I have shown cattle for two years including the south Suffolk, Suffolk show and royal Norfolk. Here I have achieved 3rd and 2nd in Young handler. 1st in pairs and many other rosettes. I have worked with cows and sheep. I have learnt many skills including rations which I have completed in cows as well my rations have been made for different breeds and time of year depending on calving, maintenance and milk.
