I have to say, this is a perfect example of how what is on a piece of paper does not really even begin to show a persons suitability for a given job. At first it may appear a step apart from my previous experience but its not, its a step back to where I belong if that makes sense, working with animals, operating machinery of the wheeled variety, the outdoors & honest hard work. I do have a tractor licence and have experience driving tractors, but I can drive anything with an engine. In last 28 years I’ve not had a single accident. I’m a very early riser and very proactive, I don’t need to be told, if something needs doing, I get it done My love of the outdoors, honest hard graft and anything with an engine makes Farm work ideal for me. I’m 46 and have built and helped build businesses so understand hard work. I’m physically fit and mentally alert. My can do attitude combined with my ability to follow instructions with very little tuition means I feel very confident I am ideal to cover your needs. I have never failed in any task Ive undertaken and will rise to any challenge given to me and aim not ot just meet but exceed expectations. I have experience with advanced telehandling use on a JCB Loadall. I’m the type of person for whom there are not problems, just solutions. My first time driving a tractor was when I was 14 at the local stables, since then I have driven some very nice and much more modern John Deere’s as well as being experienced with JCB Loadall and various forklifts as well as the joys of a 7.5ton lorry through busy cities like London. (All with a clean licence). Im very good with animals (I used to work in a zoo) & so know how to be around them. I dont smoke, drink or party so ill never call in sick. In fact, my work ethic is so strong that on the rare occasion I have been unwell, I still work, after all, why should an employer pay for someone if they dont turn up to work? I am currently self employed and so am not looking for work due to needing it financiually but because I want to get back to where I am happiest hence wanting to live out the rest of my working days on a farm. (yes, I’m aware that makes me sound like a retired work dog, but I will be working hard long past retirement as that’s the type of person I am) Sorry if ive gone on a bit but when passionate about something I tend to invest my all into it so am trying to be more restrained & this would be more than just a pay packet to me. If it were only that, I’d stick with what im doing which is great money but life is short so you have to chase your passions. Yes, I’m looking to be hands on with the driving side of things but I would be the first to jump out of the tractor and grab a broom and get the job done regardless of what that job is as whilst both jobs seem poles apart with regards to experience needed etc. Think of it like the human body, is a leg more important than an arm? Is a hand more important than a foot? Each on their own have importance for different reasons and I understand this and it’s things like that you can’t teach a minimum wage fresh out of school employee. And most importantly I am not putting myself forward for this as I don’t have a job, I have chosen this as the area to offer me most of what I want from life which means I will put more of myself into this than someone who is just wanting a pay packet. I’m not normally one to push my services on others, I prefer to let them find out what I can offer naturally and if they don’t take a step in my direction then so be it. But, as I am passionate about this I felt compelled to give this closing statement so if for some reason you chose not to give me a try, I could hold my head up high knowing I did my best which is what life is about. Look forward to meeting you. Kind regards Lel

Farming background

Have worked around a farm where I had use of their Tractor & JCB Loadall & gained advance telehandler experience. Only experience thus far with animals was as a zoo keeper but this means i know how to be around wild animals so Domestic ones will be an easy transfer of skillset.
