Welsh herdsman 31 with 14 years experience in dairy industry. Looking for work in West Wales. I have worked with some large units and small units. I am welsh speaking and have good  Communication skills. I also like the record keeping side of farming.   i have a massive drive for milking cows and getting most out of them thought good stockman ship and giving attention to the small thing that go a long way to cow comfort. I also like the  Financial side to farming money is a massive part of our industry can’t be over looked at all.

From a non farming background went to college worked in Holland on a placement from college. I have a massive drive for heard health and how this affects the profitability of the farm

Farming background

I have worked for welsh agri collage as a heardsperson looking after there heard of 250 BFx autumn carving heard milked through 20/40 then moved to North Somerset to farm with velcort for the university of Bristol with a heard of extreme Holstein cows given 10000l+. Whilst at Bristol I had the chance to learn and to put in to practice the responsible use of antibiotics in dairy cattle. This farm was 200 cows milked 2xaday through a 24/24 on sand beds with all heifer calves kept as replacements to grow heard. Then moved to a organic farm to focusing on heard health to aid the farms profitability from brining back the vet costs with out damaging heard health. Tudor farm has 150 organic FRXH milked 3xaday giving 8500L through a 8/16. I have 6 years experience in in AI I have 13 years experience in foot trimming I have a good knowledge of parlour maintenance and reapers I
