Farming background

2016-present: HGV and Plant Engineer for Arran Haulage Services Ltd working on mixed fleet of trucks, trailers, excavators, telehandlers, forklifts, vans and timber cranes. 2016: Plant and Agricultural Engineer for R&L Miller Ltd working on a large hire fleet of excavators, telehandler, tractors and various trailers and implements as well as repairs and servicing for farmers and contractors. 2012-2016: Apprentice Agricultural Engineer for Hamilton Bros Engineering Ltd working on MF and JCB machinery. 2009-present: In my spare time I work on the family farm helping in all aspects of livestock rearing and tractor work, silage, cultivations etc. From 2012 I have also worked on several local farms and for a contractor, as required, doing jobs such as milking and feeding cows, silage (mowing, baling, wrapping, carting, etc), dung and slurry spreading, ploughing, cultivating, bale and grain carting.

Hobbies

I am currently Chairman of the local young farmers club. I also enjoy clay shooting and following Scotland at rugby.
