My current position involves maintenance on the family homes, commercial offices, farm building and various equipment from mowers to tractors. I also have the responsibility and privilege of managing the shoot. Fieldsports are a real passion of mine and I have been able to increase the days and bag sizes by holding more birds and improving on the already productive drives. I have managed the deer on the estate and we now have a fine number of good quality roe and a sustainable muntjac popukation. Normal vermin control duties have also been fulfilled. I am looking for a move as my wife was also employed by the estate however her position didn’t work out. Employment history- 08/2017 – present. Estate maintenance manager/gamekeeper. My duties include the maintenance of all farm and commercial building on the estate including all the let offices aswell as the two family homes. Maintaining the parkland, whether that be grass work, tree work and fencing with the use of various agricultural vehicles and tools. The other half of my role is as the gamekeeper for the estate. My responsibilities here include the husbandry of pheasants from poults to release and on going through the season. With my two working dogs I have been able to hold more pheasants than they have had previously and increase the yield on shoot days so far this season. I also manage the deer on the estate. The product of which is butchered by myself and distributed around the estate and to friends. Vermin control is also carried out, consisting of squirrel, rabbit and rats. Foxes are included in this due to the lack of accessibility for the hunt which is unfortunate. 03/2016 – 05/2017 Gardener Tusmore Park Estate. My duties are largely focuses on the formal lawns, all processes from mowing to scarifying. With cylinder and rotary applications both ride on and pedestrian. I am privileged to have the responsibility of cutting all the lawns around the main house and estate yard, all of which have to be done to a very high standard. I have gained a knowledge of hedge cutting, shrub pruning and built on an enthusiasm which started at home with my allotment. I have operated various machines from tractors to turf care machines and front loaders. I am currently refitting the poly tunnels on the estate with new ground coverings, hardcore and gravel, as well as entire new hand built staging and doors. 12/2015 – 03/2016 Senior service technician Shelden Healthcare. During my time at Shelden I maintained equipment as in my previous role detailed below. 11/2012 – 12/2015 Senior service technician and team leader. Upon my return from travelling, detailed below, I came back to my previous role with the additional responsibilities held by a team leader. Carrying out staff appraisal and training sessions. 07/2011 – 11/2012 Travelling around Europe. 01/2007 – 07/2011. Service technician Prism Medical My role here included the carrying out of pre planned maintenance on mobility and bathing products in private homes, care homes and the NHS. The role enabled me to use my skills as an electrical engineer and the construction skills I had learnt previously. 07/2002 – 07/2007 BAC Windows and conservatories. In the absence of a suitable role on completion of my previous training I, which was only supposed to be temporary, began working with a family friend installing Windows, doors, conservatories and roof line products. Whilst in the role I learnt various construction skills including remedial plastering, lead work, rendering, carpentry skills and brickwork. 05/2000 – 07/2002 JB Systems Ltd I began my working life in a trainee electrical engineers role. I learnt how to read assembly and wiring diagrams and construct products via them. I gained an understanding of electrical systems both AC and DC. I am still currently at another estate local to the advertised post. My role involves the maintenance of the family homes, several estate office buildings and farm buildings as well as a comprehensive list of machinery. In addition to this I am the gamekeeper. We out down around 1500 birds as poults and I hold, feed and maintain them. I plan and execute shoot days to ensure the guests have a good day.


Fieldsports are my main interest and classic motoring. I'd like to learn to fly fish.
