Tractor driving experience includes paddock topping with small 3 point link and large trailed toppers, harrowing with chain and tined harrows. Carrying out Aeration and verti draining methods. Using paddock sweepers and suckers, fertilizer and trailed muck spreaders, pto mounted chippers, sidearm hedge-cutters, front loader bucket and grab forks, trailed gang-mowers, deck-mowers and rollers. Towing trailers up to 20 tonnes, and also driving compact tractors, quad bikes, 4x4 vehicles and telehandlers.

Farming background

As a warehouse operator (forklift driver), I was responsible for assembling orders, overseeing the acceptance of goods and unloading of deliveries.I was involved with administrative duties, maintaining records and accounts. As a civilian driver for the MOD, I was responsible for transporting military personnel from airports to bases etc and transporting Troops and equipment for training exercises.I was also involved with the service and repair of equipment and building of 4 x 4 vehicles for competing in driving competitions. Working as a fencer, I have experience in all aspects of fencing work, including high security fences for military sites. During my employment as head groundsman for a polo club, I was responsible for the upkeep and conditioning of all grass surfaces, repairing and maintaining fence lines and stabling. I was also responsible for pest control. When employed as a tractor driver for a borough council, my duties included the maintenance of parks and open spaces within the borough, operating and maintaining various types of equipment. I was also involved with pruning and maintenance of shrub beds, trees and hedges. My current employment as a mobile gardener/ groundsman, involves delivering a wide range of ground maintenance duties, including hedge trimming, weed killing, grass cutting and tree work. In my spare time recently, I have assisted a local council tenant farmer with grain harvest and taken on the responsibility of pest control across the 150 acre tenant farm. I enjoy rough and clay shooting, kayaking, swimming and motorcycling. My partner and I enjoy working a large allotment growing vegetables, fruit and flowers, keeping chickens and walking dogs. My partner and I also carry out gardening work for a small number of clients around Northampton.
