CV Headline

I am a hardworking student in my second year at the Royal Agricultural University. I have previously achieved a distinction, distinction, merit level 3 BTEC in engineering. Being the son of a farmer (10th generation) and having spent much of my relatively young life living on a small working farm, I am well used to the work involved in this industry.

I am deeply committed to looking for ways to maximise efficiency and build a sustainable business within the agricultural world.

I have a confident and calm attitude which enables me to work quickly and efficiently whilst taking care not to damage equipment. I understand the importance of taking care of the equipment, as I am fully aware of the sheer cost and time of breakages.

I already have a basic understanding of the relevance of jobs given to me. I’m quick learner and normally understand the relevance of what I’ve been told very quickly.

Whilst I have already gained some experience in the agricultural industry. (I have previously spent time working for an agricultural construction company as well as five months and a large arable farm this summer). I am looking to expand my experiences as a result I am looking for a role which encompasses the many facets of your business, rather than just working in one area.

I like to bring flexibility as well as a good attitude. I am very keen to do well, honesty is very important to me. I see my credibility as my “Brand”.

Farming background

I have worked on our small family farm all my life, which used to be a dairy farm, but now does beef cattle. I have also been working whilst studying, with an agriculture builder, who constructs barns and many other jobs such as concreting and ground works. My role was to erect the barns in which we built a lot of cattle sheds. We also put up a very big grain store in Essex, for a 3000-acre farm. I also did groundworks for the company. I drove a tractor from job to job, transporting machinery such as diggers and telehandlers. Is also unloaded a few lorries using the telehandler. I have experience with livestock, however I would like to move into arable, as find it very interesting and I am studying Farm Management, to one day be a farm manager. I have also done a harvest  (using solely John Deer equipment) where I was corn carting for two John Deer T670i combines. I also moved the headers from field to field. When I was not corn carting, I was hauling straw, with a 45 foot dolly trailer, on the road for long hours at a time. I also did other duties such as stacking bales into big stacks, and on and off trailers. Along with pushing up the grain in the grain store. In addition I have done a bit of rolling. I have experience in driving John Deer 6155r, JD6215r, JD7290 and a Kubota M5135GX Alongside older family farm tractors. I have also had limited experience with a Challenger tractor.
