Farming background

As well as working on dairy and sheep farms I have worked in a variety of jobs outside farming. Namely, I was a professional actor for 2 years after 4 years of drama school training. Lead roles included appearances on popular TV shows and in short films. I have been a prison chaplain in Belmarsh and Berwyn prisons, which has thrown up some dangerous and intense situations. We moved from London to Wrexham as I transferred to HMP Berwyn, however in the face of unsecured funding for my role I had an opportunity to leave this work to pursue a career in farming. Farming has been an interest of mine for quite some time, yet options to pursue this growing up in East London was limited. Despite my first farming job being very tough during a hard winter of calving a 500 herd, I still enjoyed it greatly and it’s only furthered my passion. I received a lot of praise in this job by the manager and farm owner.

Hobbies

Spend time with my young family, and go for walks together in the countryside and parks. I also enjoy playing sport, going to church and spend the day sea fishing when I have the spare time.
