I use EID in alll sheep work and have been converting the herd over to electronic tags, to make handling more efficient and allow accurate records and notes to be kept and used in heifer replacement selection. All stock is currently sent direct to slaughter. I work closely with our vets and have re-configured our flock and herd health plans to lead to further improvements. Farming background

My previous role was that of Head Shepherd running 3,000 Ewes and a small suckler herd. I have also worked outside of Agriculture and that experience has given me a more rounded approach to my work ethic and decision making.

Family is very important to me, when my wife and children aren't helping out around the sheep sheds I like to spend time out with the family and enjoy canoeing with William.
